About UK Money Tools

What We Do

UK Money Tools provides free, no-registration financial calculators built specifically for people in the United Kingdom. Our tools cover salary tax, self-employed tax, stamp duty, contractor day rates, and payment fees — the everyday calculations that UK residents and workers need but shouldn't have to pay an accountant to get a quick answer for.

How Our Calculators Work

Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of the numbers you enter. The calculations use published rates from HMRC and other official sources for the 2025/26 tax year.

Our calculation logic is written in plain, auditable TypeScript. We use clearly named constants for every tax band, threshold, and rate, and we update these whenever HMRC publishes new figures. The last update to our rates and logic was on 30 March 2026.

What We Are Not

UK Money Tools is not a firm of accountants, tax advisers, or financial planners. We do not provide personalised advice, and our calculators do not account for every individual circumstance — including but not limited to marriage allowance, blind person's allowance, Scottish or Welsh tax rates, student loan repayments, pension contributions, or salary sacrifice arrangements.

The results from our tools are estimates. If you need definitive figures for your specific situation, we recommend consulting a qualified accountant or checking HMRC guidance directly at gov.uk.

Our Approach to Accuracy

  • We use HMRC's published rates and thresholds — never guesswork or unofficial sources.
  • Tax constants are centralised in a single file, reviewed annually, and updated promptly when new rates are announced.
  • Every calculator page states which tax year it uses and includes a clear disclaimer about limitations.
  • We show the calculation breakdown so you can verify the maths yourself.
